Federation was extremely slow for "this IS BECOMING ANNOYINF LOL" messages. They have just appeared for me some time ago i went ahead and tried my idea of "why not block every server except a hand full" (via whitelist) Why so? | 13:08:45 |

Would prevent you from talking with users on a non whitelisted server? Especially an issue in a public room. I once began blacklisting leftist/antifa-looking servers, or anarchist servers that promoted problematic content.
Eventually i inverted the whole situation.
channels from other homeservers (eg matrixs) dont work, but this here seems still work (one of the few hs addresses).
i could care less about the flood of degeneracy available in groups or unknown people contacting me.
With all the danger that arises from internet presence, it is advisable to reduce it to a minimum.
I dont need or necessarily intend this (from my end) to be a federating service. im here, i look at the chat of schildichat, thats about it.
and if messages tumble in, thats fine for me.
